M. Tunda Ya Kasende a présenté sa démission au Premier ministre Sylvestre Ilunga Ilunkamba, après avoir fait “un examen personnel de la situation”, a-t-il indiqué.
“En cette occasion pathétique, j’ai pu présenté au chef du gouvernement tous mes remerciements, et mes remerciements également au président de la République”, a-t-il ajouté dans un message vidéo diffusé à la presse.
“Je pars du gouvernement avec la conviction que mon action au sein du ministère de la Justice a apporté une pierre à la consolidation de l’Etat de droit dans notre pays”, a-t-il conclu.
Il s’agit de la première démission au sein du gouvernement de coalition qui regroupe des partisans du président de la République Félix Tshisekedi, et de son prédécesseur, Joseph Kabila.
Ce gouvernement pléthorique avait été annoncé le 26 août, après huit mois de tractations entre MM. Tshisekedi, vainqueur de l‘élection présidentielle du 30 décembre 2018, et Kabila, qui avait quitté le pouvoir en gardant une confortable majorité au Parlement.
Avocat de profession, M. Tunda Ya Kasende est un membre du Front commun pour le Congo (FCC , pro-Kabila), comme la majorité des 67 membres du gouvernement.
Il y a deux semaines, M. Tunda Ya Kasende avait été arrêté par la police à son domicile et conduit au parquet où il a été entendu pendant quelques heures avant d‘être relâché.
La veille en Conseil des ministres, le président Tshisekedi lui avait sévèrement reproché d’avoir transmis à l’Assemblée nationale l’avis du gouvernement sur trois propositions de loi très controversées, sans consulter personne.
Une “initiative personnelle”, avait relevé le compte-rendu du Conseil des ministres.
Sa brève interpellation avait été fortement dénoncée par les partisans de M. Kabila.
