Mouctar Bah n’a fait que son travail, rapportant des témoignages collectés dans la nuit du 7 novembre 2018 sur les circonstances de la mort de deux jeunes gens. Il a également tenté, dès le lendemain matin, de joindre les autorités civiles et militaires pour obtenir leur commentaire sur ces témoignages. Les autorités concernées n’ont pas donné suite à ses appels et messages répétés.
Radio France Internationale s’étonne de la mise en demeure lancée par la Haute Autorité de la Communication lui demandant d’accorder un droit de réponse au ministère de la Défense, cette réaction ayant été sollicitée par Mouctar Bah tout au long de la journée du 8 novembre. La rédaction parisienne de RFI avait fini par obtenir, le lundi 12 novembre, l’accord du directeur régional de la police de Conakry, également porte-parole du ministère de la Sécurité et de la Protection civile, pour réagir à cette affaire. Réaction de Boubacar Kassé diffusée sur notre antenne le jour même dans les éditions de 18h30 et 22h30 en temps universel. RFI rappelle que son antenne a toujours été ouverte à tous et qu’elle le demeure.
La direction de RFI réaffirme son plein soutien à Mouctar Bah qui, avec plus de trente ans de carrière, est l’un des journalistes les plus chevronnés de Guinée.
