L’attribution du Prix Nobel de la paix 2018 à la jeune activiste de 25 ans est un « honneur pour les Irakiens », selon le chef de l’Etat
Les réactions continuent à affluer après l’annonce des lauréats 2018 du prix Nobel de la Paix.
L’irakienne Nadia Murad, ambassadrice de l’ONU pour la dignité des victimes du trafic d’êtres humains depuis 2016 et le médecin-gynécologue congolais Denis Mukwege, ont été distingués par l’Académie suédoise.

Ils appartiennent à la minorité Yazidis, des kurdophones d’Irak, adeptes d’une religion ésotérique ancestrale.
Nouvellement élu, le président irakien Barham Salih, un Kurde, a appelé au téléphone la jeune militante yazidie de 25 ans pour la féliciter.
