La saisie s’est déroulée en deux temps, a-t-il précisé, ajoutant que les douaniers ont d’abord mis la main sur 12 kilos, dans la nuit du 10 au 11 octobre, lors d’un contrôle routier au cours duquel le contrebandier a réussi à prendre la fuite.
Ensuite 84 kilos ont été saisis dans la nuit du 17 au 18 octobre sur deux Maliens qui auraient déclaré au conducteur du véhicule transportant la marchandise qu’il s’agissait des boubous teints importés en grande quantité du Mali.
Les contrebandiers ont été arrêtés et déférés au parquet de Matam, selon le commandant de la subdivision des douanes.
