En grève depuis vendredi, l’association des meuniers et industriels du Sénégal (Amis) va lever son mot d’ordre.
 » Demain, on aura signé un protocole avec l’Etat pour redémarrer les activités », déclare le Secrétaire général de l’Amis, Claude Demba Diop. Il informe à cet effet, que toutes les activités des entreprises de minoterie vont redémarrer et de manière imminente, renseigne Le Quotidien.
La reprise des activités des meuniers reste suspendue à la signature d’un protocole avec le ministère des Finances. Abdoulaye Daouda Diallo doit, en effet, proposer un chronogramme de paiement des compensations. Un consensus entre les deux parties devrait entériner la fin de la grève et le début des paiements pour le mois de juillet.
L’Etat du Sénégal doit aux meuniers une ardoise de 17 milliards de francs Cfa. Cette dette est relative aux mesures de subventions sur les prix de la baguette de pain et du blé. Ces arriérés se sont accumulés depuis 2021. Une situation qui obligeait les meuniers à puiser dans leur trésorerie.
Néanmoins, la rencontre avec le ministre des Finances devrait être le dénouement de cette crise due à la hausse des cours des céréales, causée par la guerre entre la Russie et l’Ukraine.
