Le musée dédié à l’ancien chef du narco-terrorisme, Pablo Escobar a été fermé mercredi lors d’une opération conjointe de la mairie de Medellin, du vice-ministère du Tourisme et du service des migrations.
Ce site, qui ne disposait pas des autorisations légales, exposait d’anciennes voitures et motos de l’ex-chef du cartel de Medellin, et même une fausse cloison derrière laquelle il se dissimulait, selon BBC
Selon le secrétariat à la sécurité de la ville, au moins sept étrangers se trouvaient sur les lieux au moment de l’inspection.
« Je ne voudrais pas que les gens viennent dans notre ville pour faire l’apologie du crime », a expliqué le maire de Medellin, Frederico Gutierrez Zuluaga.
Selon les autorités municipales, citées par l’AFP, les touristes payaient environ 30 dollars pour l’entrée et 35 dollars pour le tour complet.
Le gestionnaire de l’établissement Roberto Escobar alias l’ourson, petit frère de Pablo Escobar, a démenti ces informations, précisant que les touristes ne payaient pas pour visiter la maison.
