La Chine a encore augmenté son excédent commercial en septembre 2018. Non seulement avec le monde entier mais surtout avec les Etats-Unis en dépit de la guerre commerciale à laquelle se livrent les deux pays. Le président américain menace de taxer encore plus les importations chinoises aux Etats-Unis.
Rien ne semble arrêter la progression des exportations chinoises. Et surtout pas les taxes imposées depuis septembre par les Etats-Unis sur 200 milliards de dollars d’importations chinoises.
L’excédent commercial chinois sur les Etats-Unis a même atteint un record de 34 milliards de dollars en septembre contre 31 milliards en août. De janvier à septembre, ce surplus des exportations sur les importations en faveur de Pékin atteint 225 milliards de dollars contre 196 milliards de dollars l’an dernier à la même période.
Hors Etats-Unis, les exportations de la Chine continuent également de progresser à plus de 14% sur un an. Selon les analystes, la diminution de la valeur du yuan par rapport au dollar préserve la compétitivité chinoise.
Importations en baisse
Et comme simultanément les Chinois ont ralenti la croissance de leurs importations, leur excédent commercial continue de grimper.
Voilà qui ne fait pas du tout l’affaire de Donald Trump qui menace d’imposer encore plus de droits de douane sur les produits chinois. Tout en invitant la Chine à reprendre des négociations commerciales qui sont, pour l’instant, au point mort.
