, très présent et connu sur les réseaux sociaux au Cameroun sous le pseudonyme de Shakiro , et Roland Mouthé , alias Patricia , deux transgenres emprisonnés depuis février, « sont libres » après avoir « bénéficié d’une mesure de mise en liberté provisoire » de la Cour d’appel de Douala , la capitale économique du Cameroun, a annoncé à l’AFP leur avocat, Me Richard Tamfu. « La décision de mise en liberté a été prononcée dans le cadre du procès en appel » des deux condamnés, a confirmé à l’AFP Alice Nkom, présidente de l’Association pour la défense des droits des homosexuels (Adefho).
En mai, les deux prévenus avaient été reconnus coupables de « tentative d’homosexualité, outrage public aux mœurs et défaut de carte nationale d’identité » avant d’être condamnés en première instance chacun à cinq ans de prison , la peine la plus lourde prévue par la législation réprimant les pratiques homosexuelles dans ce pays d’Afrique centrale. Shakiro et Patricia avaient interjeté appel, la date de leur nouveau procès n’est pas fixée.
