La 2e étape du Tour du Sénégal 2018 pourrait se dérouler ce lundi sans l’équipe nationale du Sénégal. Le capitaine des Lions cyclistes, Bécaye Traoré, a affirmé hier, à Somone, qu’ils ne vont pas courir si leurs primes ne leur sont pas payées.
« Nous sommes pas très motivés, parce que nous n’avons pas eu la préparation qu’il faut pour faire des performances. L’équipe du Sénégal a été un peu remaniée cette année. Il y a des coureurs qui étaient là l’année dernière et qui ont préféré ne pas participer à l’édition 2018. Hier (samedi), nous avons dormi chez nous alors que nous devions courir aujourd’hui (dimanche). Ce n’est pas comme ça qu’on prépare sereinement une course. je ne crois plus aux promesses qu’on nous fait à chaque fois. Qu’on règle le problème de nos primes, sinon nous n’allons pas prendre part à la 2e étape. nous attendons qu’on nous paie notre argent ».
