Le président congolais a eu des mots très durs à la tribune de l’Assemblée générale des Nations unies, mardi 25 septembre. Joseph Kabila a réitéré son attachement aux valeurs défendues par l’ONU, tout en dénonçant l’ingérence de certains Etats. Et il a de nouveau demandé le début du départ effectif de la Monusco.
Mardi, à la tribune de l’Assemblée générale de l’ONU à New York, le président de RDC Joseph Kabila a redemandé le départ de la célèbre Mission de l’Organisation des Nations unies pour la stabilisation en République démocratique du Congo (Monusco), installée dans son pays depuis deux décennies.
Sur le plan sécuritaire, Joseph Kabila a également évoqué la récente attaque à Beni. Le chef de l’Etat présente les attaques « terroristes » dans le nord-est comme le principal point d’insécurité restant. Sur le plan politique, il a promis des élections crédibles et apaisées, un processus irréversible.
Son discours a fait réagir l’opposant Moïse Katumbi, toujours en exil. Pour lui, Joseph Kabila « travestit la vérité » mais le peuple, l’opposition, la société civile et les partenaires connaissent selon M. Katumbi « le niveau d’insécurité en RDC, l’absence d’avancées du processus électoral, la triche qui se prépare ».
