Après sa très précieuse victoire sur Marseille (1-0), Metz devait confirmer lors de la réception de Dijon. Les Grenats pouvaient compter sur le retour d’Ismaila sarr, retenu pendant plusieurs semaines par l’équipe nationale du Sénégal avec laquelle il disputait la Can. Décisifs face aux phocéens contre qui il avait provoqué un coup-franc décisif, Ismaïla sarr s’est encore érigé en sauveur de sa formation qui lutte pour le maintien en ligue 1. Pour sa première titularisation après la Can, Ismaïla sarr a ouvert le score à la 46èmemn de jeu.
