Les amendes dans les Trains, trams et bus seront ainsi supprimés dès l’été prochain, selon le plan de la coalition gouvernementale fraîchement réélue et dirigée par Xavier Bettel, qui a prêté serment mecredi.
Ce dernier, issu du Parti Démocrate, s’est allié avec le Parti Socialiste des travailleurs et les Verts, avec le projet de donner la priorité aux questions environnementales.
La ville de Luxembourg, capitale du grand duché, est depuis des années l’une des villes connaissant les pires embouteillages au monde.
Alors qu’elle ne compte que 110.000 habitants, elle accueille chaque jours près de 400.000 personnes qui viennent pour travailler.
Les automobilistes au Luxembourg ont ainsi passé en moyenne 33 heures dans les embouteillages en 2016, selon une étude.
Dès 2020, l’ensemble des tickets seront abolis dans les transports publics.
