“La lutte contre la propagation de fausses informations sur notre plate-forme est d’une importance capitale. Elle promet que ‘’l’élimination des fausses actualités permettront de réduire jusqu’à 80 % de la portée organique d’un article, contribuant ainsi à freiner sa propagation et à déjouer les pièges financiers des auteurs de fausses informations ”.
Facebook lance ce programme en collaboration avec deux partenaires : Africa Check, la première organisation de fact-checking indépendante en Afrique, et l’AFP (Agence France Presse). Les deux font partie d’un groupe qui dispose d’une expertise conséquente dans la vérification des faits, et certifié par le réseau international de fact-checking Poynter.
