La possession de cannabis sera toutefois interdite à bord des vols internationaux, même ceux en direction des Etats américains ayant légalisé l’usage récréatif de la marijuana…
A partir du 17 octobre prochain, les Canadiens pourront transporter du cannabis dans leurs bagages à main ou en soute à bord des avions sur les vols intérieurs. Cette mesure s’inscrit dans le cadre la légalisation prochaine de cette drogue .

Interdiction sur les vols internationaux
La possession de cannabis à bord de vols internationaux restera, elle, illégale même dans ceux à destination d’Etats américains ayant légalisé l’usage récréatif de la marijuana, comme l’Etat de Washington. Les contrevenants s’exposeraient à « de lourdes sanctions pénales », a souligné Delphine Denis. La vente et la consommation de cannabis sont en effet interdites par la loi fédérale américaine.
Le ministère des Transports installe actuellement une nouvelle signalisation informant les voyageurs des règles applicables dans les aéroports, les gares ferroviaires et maritimes, et le long des autoroutes menant aux Etats-Unis.
