Six personnes ont été condamnées à un an de prison ferme au Maroc pour avoir salué en décembre 2016 sur Facebook l’assassinat de l’ambassadeur russe en Turquie, a rapporté vendredi l’agence de presse officielle MAP.
La Cour d’appel de Salé, près de la capitale Rabat, a condamné jeudi soir, à une année de prison ferme chacun des six accusés poursuivis pour « apologie et incitation à des actes terroristes ». Les accusés ont également écopé d’une amende de 10.000 dirhams (100 euros), selon la MAP. Des membres de la jeunesse du PJD (Parti de la justice et du développement, formation islamiste à la tête du gouvernement de coalition) figurent parmi les condamnés, selon la presse locale, qui ne précise pas leur nombre exact.
Leur avocat, Abdessamad El Idrissi, membre du PJD, a dénoncé des jugements « exagérés et désolants » contre des jeunes qui « représentent l’élite de ce pays », a rapporté la presse.
Ils étaient accusés d’avoir célébré sur les réseaux sociaux l’assassinat de l’ambassadeur russe en Turquie, Andreï Karlov, tué par balle le 19 décembre à Ankara. Ils avaient été arrêtés peu après, et leur interpellation avait suscité des critiques au sein du PJD.
« Partenariat stratégique approfondi »
Le Maroc est lié à Moscou par un « partenariat stratégique approfondi » et a invité officiellement le président russe Vladimir Poutine à se rendre dans le royaume.
Le secrétaire du Conseil de sécurité russe Nikolaï Patrouchev s’était rendu mi-décembre à Rabat, où il avait rencontré le roi Mohammed VI et les principaux responsables sécuritaires du pays.
Le ministre marocain des Affaires étrangères Nasser Bourita était cette semaine à Moscou pour y « renforcer » les relations entre les deux pays et « consolider leur partenariat stratégique », selon la MAP.
