Cette fois-ci, c’est Me Ousmane Sèye, président du Front républicain, qui soutient dans la parution de ce mardi du journal « Le Quotidien », que le bureau de l’Assemblée nationale peut décréter l’arrêt des poursuites contre le député Khalifa Sall.
« Si le bureau de l’Assemblée nationale se réunit et décide de la suspension des poursuites, elle obtiendra gain de cause. Mais il faut qu’il le demande », fait savoir l’avocat, 5ème vice-président du Haut conseil des collectivités territoriales (Hcct).
Il précise toujours dans cette affaire que « l’immunité parlementaire ne vaut que lorsque l’Assemblée nationale est en session. Cela veut dire que le député peut être condamné ou placé sous mandat de dépôt. On a un cas d’une personne qui commet un délit et est poursuivie par la justice. Maintenant, si elle est élue député, cela ne veut pas dire l’arrêt des poursuites », précise toutefois le membre de la mouvance présidentielle.
