C’est la sixième victoire de l’année pour le triple champion du monde, la quatrième consécutive. Pourtant parti en pole position, Nico Rosberg termine seulement quatrième. L’Allemand pointe désormais à 19 points de son coéquipier britannique, à huit grand prix de la fin de la saison.
Dans le dur toute la course, le Français Romain Grosjean termine 13e de la course sur sa Haas-Ferrari.
En raison de la coupure estivale d’un mois, le prochain Grand Prix ne se tiendra que le 28 août prochain, sur le légendaire tracé de Spa-Francorchamps, en Belgique.
